A tiny amount of ConcreCem can make a massive difference to the lifespan of structural concrete

The addition of ConcreCem to concrete provides enhanced durability and longevity. This cannot easily be calculated and expressed in money saving terms, it is however easy to see how this improves whole life embedded carbon savings.

Whilst it still remains difficult though to calculate the true costs of repairing and replacing concrete structures. In the case where the damage is known to be caused by freeze-thawing. Testing clearly shows that adding ConcreCem has a dramatic effect. The photo above shows the results of adding just 0,3% ConcreCem which has reduced freezing-thawing damages by fivefold!

The question however remains how can we calculate these benefits to show whole life costs. I guess the answer is that the customer or authority faced with large annual repair bill for concrete structures will quickly make their own calculation!
